An inspection only company:
A major concern for many home buyers and sellers arise from septic inspection companies that repair the septic systems they test. This presents a conflict of interest. Animas Septic Inspection does not repair or install septic systems and has no financial interest in the septic inspection findings.
Beginning January 1, 2019, La Plata, Archuleta, San Juan (CO), and Montezuma counties require on-site wastewater treatment systems (septic systems) to be inspected whenever a home is sold to help protect groundwater. The inspection requirements and guidelines will be determined by the individual Health Departments overseeing the respective counties. See the list below for the department's coverage areas.
